How does stop smoking laser therapy help with the physical addiction of quitting smoking?
Our laser is a cold laser, called low level light therapy (LLLT), its non-invasive, painless, has no side effects. It is completely safe. We target laser acupuncture points around your ears, nose, mouth, wrists, and hands. The laser helps to release endorphins, the feel-good chemical that you normally get when you puff on a cigarette. Smoking habits are formed when neural receptors in your brain start associating and linking your daily activities to a cigarette.
The association of coffee and a cigarette in the morning is one good example of a neural association. Over time, these associations become very strong, making the quitting process difficult.
The physical withdrawal symptoms of nicotine are extremely difficult to overcome, but the psychological cravings can be even worse. Smoking triggers causes smokers to experience the cravings to want to light up again, even when the physical symptoms are gone. These include:
